Women in IT Security panel

Throughout October, we have been celebrating National Cyber Security Awareness Month! As part of the festivities, the Office of the AVP and CTO hosted a Women in IT Security panel on October 19th.

The panel featured industry experts Jill Kowalchuk (director, CanSSOC), Michelle Moore (director, IT Security and Project Management, Humber College), Tracy Dallaire (director of Information Security, McMaster University), and Marissa Benson (senior systems administrator, McMaster University).

Moderated by Gayleen Gray (Associate Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer, McMaster University), the panel discussed a wide variety of topics unique to women working in the IT security field. It was great to hear from such accomplished professionals, and we’re grateful they could share their insights and experiences working within IT security with our community.

For those who were unable to attend, watch the recorded panel below.
