Tracy Dallaire appointed Deputy Chief Technology Officer

Tracy Dallaire, Director of Information Security, has been appointed McMaster University’s Deputy Chief Technology Officer, effective November 3, 2025.
The appointment was made by Associate Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer Gayleen Gray, with support from the Provost and Vice-President, Operations and Finance. This expanded role recognizes Dallaire’s leadership and contributions to McMaster’s digital transformation. In her expanded role, she will help advance strategic initiatives aligned with the university’s IT and institutional priorities, oversee operational goals and support McMaster’s digital experience. This includes the adoption of tools such as Campus Relationship Management (CRM), SharePoint, Teams and PowerApps.
Dallaire will also serve as a delegate for Chief Technology Officer Gayleen Gray when required.
“Tracy is a trusted colleague and a thoughtful leader whose impact is felt across our campus and far beyond,” said Associate Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer, Gayleen Gray. “Her deep expertise in cybersecurity, inclusive leadership and strategic thinking makes her the ideal person to help guide our digital transformation.”
Dallaire represents McMaster in key initiatives including CanSSOC, Research Intensive Group activities, ORION SecureONE and Inclusion in Cybersecurity Canada, for which she recently received the CUCCIO Community Award, along with her collaborators.
