Tech Tuesdays with AVP & CTO Gayleen Gray are back this summer!

Last summer, McMaster AVP & CTO Gayleen Gray invited the McMaster community to ‘Tech Tuesdays’ for the months of July and August. Thanks to feedback from the IT community, we’ve developed a new format for these informal chats to suit our virtual campus environment. Tech Tuesdays will still be an opportunity for Gayleen to hear the community’s thoughts, ideas and perspectives about technology and the possibilities for IT at McMaster, but with themes attached to each session.

Every other Tuesday in July and August from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, Gayleen will open the discussion with a few remarks and updates on a key theme shaping our technology landscape. Additional members from University Technology Services (UTS) will also be present to facilitate a conversation, share ideas, and collect your feedback on all things tech. Please see the schedule and topics below. Faculty, students, staff, and other members of the campus community are welcome!

Kicking off the series is a discussion around your technology needs, ideas, and potential solutions. 

July 28, 12:00 – 1:00 PM: IT Support in Fall 2020

The second Tech Tuesday of summer 2020 will explore IT support heading into the fall term. Discuss where and how to get help when you need it. 

August 11, 12:00 – 1:00 PM: Protecting our Online Environment

We all have a role to play when it comes to protecting our online environment. Join us from 12-1PM to talk IT security and what to watch out for heading into the fall.

August 18, 12:00 – 1:00 PM: Update on IT Strategy & Initiatives

Join us for the final Tech Tuesday of the summer! Expect updates on key technology initiatives such as the Email & Calendaring Migration and the CRM Readiness Phase.
