Tech donation and giveaway event returns to campus

McMaster students and staff are invited to drop off used technology at the ACCESS Tech donation drive happening in the John Hodgins Engineering Building on Tuesday, April 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Donated technology is refurbished and distributed to Hamiltonians in need or properly recycled.
The ACCESS Tech team will also be giving away refurbished technology at the event.
ACCESS Tech is a collaboration between McMaster Facility Services, University Technology Services, Academic Sustainability Program students, and community partner, Empowerment Squared.
Examples of donatable technology include:
- Desktop and Laptop Computers
- Monitors
- Printers
- Cameras
- External hard drives
- Cords
- Digital technology of any age
- Mobile devices less than 3 years old?such as smart phones or watches
Data needs to be wiped from technology before it is donated. You can follow instructions on the ACCESS Tech Webpage, or the ACCESS Tech team can help guide you through the data wiping procedure onsite during the donation drive.
