New Mosaic eForms now available
Earlier this month, the first of the new Mosaic eForms launched to the McMaster community.
The paper HR event forms are no longer required for position management transactions (Request New Position and Request Position Data Update).
University Technology Services (UTS) played a major role in this project that was initiated in response to feedback received through the HR Review.
“This was a collaborative project between many different teams — including UTS, HR and various departments and Faculties,” says Nishaan Parbhoo, Business Systems Analyst, UTS. “Each group has their own use case and needs, so partnership extended well beyond the technical teams. End users were also consulted to capture the broad range of functions required through stakeholder engagement sessions and meetings.”
The new eForms leverage technology to eliminate multiple points of manual data entry, reduce errors, delays and re-work resulting in:
- Fast and easy user experience for submitting, approving and processing eForms
- Improved data integrity and accuracy
- Better visibility through online eForm tracking
- Oversight through streamlined, automated approval workflow
“There was a strong desire across our community to streamline the current processes and eliminate multiple points of manual data entry” says Kash Raza, Project Manager HR PMO. The partnership with UTS was instrumental in modernizing and digitizing these manual processes and delivering a solution that has significantly improved uses experience.”
Throughout summer and fall 2021, additional eForms will be released to process transactions such as contract extension, termination, retirement, compensation adjustment and schedule updates.
