MFA virtual drop-in sessions to support universal adoption
McMaster is requiring multi-factor authentication (MFA) on Microsoft 365 services for all students, faculty and staff, continuing from late January 2022.
To support the McMaster community with universal adoption of MFA, the Information Security Services team is hosting virtual drop-in sessions for anyone who has questions about how to prepare yourself for MFA, guide you on the set-up process and address any questions.
Virtual drop-in sessions
Virtual drop-in sessions are available on Microsoft Teams meetings every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. until June 30, 2022. Community members can also join the Microsoft Teams group to post questions and get answers from the Information Security Services team.
What is MFA?
MFA provides an additional layer of security to help secure McMaster email and associated Microsoft 365 applications. MFA assists in protecting accounts from being compromised, and it also minimizes access to your data if your account becomes compromised by hackers. It is free, easy-to-use and available to all students, faculty members and staff.
