McMaster gets ready to launch new IT Strategic Plan
January 23, 2019 will mark the official launch of the new McMaster IT Strategic Plan for 2019 – 2021. The three-year plan provides the roadmap to achieve the university’s strategic IT vision.
On Wednesday January 23, the McMaster community will gather at the L.R. Wilson Concert Hall to celebrate the launch and hear campus leaders discuss the future direction of IT at McMaster. AVP and CTO, Gayleen Gray will highlight elements of the new plan and share aspects of the planning process.
The launch will also unveil the new IT Strategy section of the cto.mcmaster.ca website which will include access to a downloadable version of the McMaster IT Strategic Plan. The launch event team will be active on Twitter (@McMasterIT) and Instagram (@mcmasteru_it) and the community is encouraged to join the conversation.
“I’m looking forward to sharing the outcome from a year of fantastic collaboration and consultation. I’m thrilled to lead McMaster’s IT Strategy implementation, focusing on our three strategic pillars: connected, seamless, transformative. Together we will create a digital transformation befitting a 21st century institution,” says Gayleen Gray.
Attendees will continue to celebrate the launch outside of the Concert Hall following the presentation, and guests are invited to enjoy refreshments while mingling with the CTO and other key McMaster IT personnel who will be happy to share how the McMaster IT Strategic is already in play.
For those unable to join in person, the presentation will be streamed via Facebook Live, thanks to the support of McMaster’s Student Success Centre: https://www.facebook.com/MacSSC/ . Be sure to follow them in advance and visit the page on January 23rd at 1:30 p.m., if choosing this option.
