McMaster campus Wi-Fi enhancement

University Technology Services has undergone major improvements to campus-wide wireless connectivity, including new outdoor Wi-Fi coverage. These enhancements are in time for various Back to Mac efforts, and the outdoor wireless upgrades will assist the community with increased connectivity as select groups return to campus operations over the summer.
Connected to the McMaster IT Strategic Plan for 2019-2021, the wireless plan continues to modernize and revitalize the University’s current wireless environment, which includes enhancing Wi-Fi networks across 54 campus-based McMaster buildings. Check out the project updates and more below.
McMaster offers three main wireless networks, with Mac-Wifi acting as the primary network to use on campus. Additionally, wireless networks Reznet-Wifi and Mac-Events are offered on campus as well to use in different places for different purposes.
All faculty members, staff and students at McMaster University can continue to use the eduroam wireless network at all eduroam-supported educational institutes. A complete list of Canadian member institutions can be found here and worldwide institutions can be found here.
We encourage the McMaster community to check out the project page to stay up to date on which buildings are completed, in progress and in planning stages, as well as outdoor campus Wi-Fi regions.
