Join the McMaster Cyber Security Squad and protect our online environment
Awareness is the best defense against cyber security threats and we all have to be hyper-vigilant while working from home. Combating cyber security threats is a team effort and all McMaster community members have a role to play. You can help protect our online environment by joining the McMaster Cybersecurity Squad as a cyber security champion.
What is a cyber security champion, you ask? A champion is a leader who helps their colleagues recognize potential threats and shares key ways to stay #CyberAware.
Spread the word!
We have curated Zoom backgrounds and Microsoft Teams icons to help you, our champions, spread the #CyberAware message. From to reporting suspicious emails (is-spam@mcmaster.ca) to securing home networks, every step to protect our online environment counts!
To be part of the squad, simply join ‘McMaster Cyber Security Squad’ team on Microsoft Teams. There you will find Zoom backgrounds to download, icons to use, and social media graphics to share. This Team will also be a place for champions to gather information and share tips. Paul Muir, McMaster’s IT Security Manager and Information Security Officer, will be updating the channel with the latest cyber security news so you can be ahead of potential threats and spread the word to the campus community.
