There is a need to implement an improved and consistent method for tracking and reporting academic specific data related to the organizational relationship and circumstances associated with Faculty members at the University. Examples include tracking tenure-track and teaching-track faculty members’ tenure/permanence clocks (“tenure clock”), and for also managing research, administrative, parental leaves as well as tracking reduced workload arrangements and retirement agreements for all tenured and permanent faculty members (“leave eligibility”).
A discovery phase was completed to determine the high-level requirements and to complete a fit-gap analysis to assess the delivered PeopleSoft HR “Faculty Events” module within Mosaic. The discovery initiative found that the technical, process, and user experience gaps were too numerous for the implementation of the module to be viable and usable solution for the Provost and Faculty Office’s users.
