Wireless has become an essential service. The IT Review Survey identified that one of the biggest IT issues at McMaster is lack of Wi-Fi coverage. The Wireless Survey identified some key areas across McMaster that required immediate attention, since then additional wireless access points have been installed in 50+ additional campus locations including outside the Divinity College Bust Stop, in front of Mills Library, near the GO bus. The Short-Term Wireless project as proposed requested funding to address these issues, increasing McMaster’s investment in wireless and improved wireless across campus.

Watch for more proposals for the Wireless coverage to be identified by the Infrastructure and Information Security committee.
