Mobile Application Strategy

Mobile applications are a great way to aggregate data and return valuable learning time back to the student. The purpose of the Mobile Application intiative is to develop a comprehensive mobile application strategy and governance framework specific to branding, accessibility, development standards, security, process documentation.

The Mobile Application project is a collaborative McMaster initiative that will engage the McMaster community to develop a comprehensive mobile application strategy. The project is now completed, with an assessment of what the needs are on campus. Next steps for exploring delivery methods will be carried out in a separate project.

This initiative completes important ground work for future mobile app development, which is reflected in its goals:

  1. Creating a Mobile App working group.
  2. Developing and initiating a communications plan.
  3. Developing a Request for Information (RFI)
  4. Preparing a final report with recommendations to the IT Governance standing committees.
