Student Ancillary Fees Opt-Out

This project will implement the changes mandated by the Provincial Government that students be allowed to opt out of non-essential ancillary (supplementary) fees. This change is required by June 1, 2019 when students register for courses for the 19/20 academic year.

Goals of this project include:

Opt-out process that is acceptable to student governments, McMaster University and compliant with MTCU rules and is in place by Delivery by June 1, 2019.
Recognition from all stakeholders that this is a very short time to put in a very large change, and that a post implementation review may be required and result in more changes next year to improve process.
No manual processes required to track or amend opt-out memberships.
