October marks National Cyber Security Awareness Month, and this year McMaster IT is highlighting three McMaster heroes fighting back against security threats and cyber villains. Their stories will provide the McMaster community with tips and tricks to spot cyber threats, stay cybersecure, and ruin a cyber criminal’s day!

Em is a new student at McMaster University, equipped with a phone and laptop to connect with friends, get assignments done, and scroll through their social media.

Eff | McMaster University Professor and researcher
Dr. Eff has been working in universities for a while. They collaborate online with a team of researchers across the world and in person with their teaching assistants here at McMaster.

Ay | McMaster University staff
Ay does administrative work at McMaster and frequently emails different departments, attends virtual and in-person meetings, and connects with students and faculty alike.
Each week, our heroes will learn to harness their tools and powers to fight back against cyber villains. The most nefarious of all is cyber cat.
